Worst place to get help. They denied me, my husband, and 2 toddlers twice.

I wished there was another organization besides dchd because I’ve been applying since 2020 and keep getting denied for many reasons which didn’t make sense when I have proof of low income, notices from the landlords that I can’t be there and the list goes on, we lived in a place that isn’t suitable for children bad enough dcf was involved, bored of health is involved and police comes multiple times a week and they all tell me that a kid shouldn’t be there and the organization still denies us? Something isn’t right

Unprofessional I was denied 3 times within a week and 2 days . The first excuse was well you left your apartment willingly so you made your family and yourself homeless. The second excuse was that I need 3 different letters from family and friends saying we stayed at their house and can no longer stay their. The third excuse was that the letters had to be from Mass residents only when the requirements said nothing about ONLY MASS. the lady wrote on it and I told her that it doesn't count because she wrote it and it was not printed that's illega then the lady got mad stormed off and her manager came back said well these are the new requirements as of now oh and dcf will be called so I left because clearly they didn't want to help on 04/19/2019 Bill Morgan called me while I was in court I called back left 3 messages and still no phone call back but they have been sending letters I really don't understand if your company was not attempting to help my family and I why are you people harrassing me ??!!

Placed in Smoc with three kids, 2 years ago terrible worker no help!! Then for a couple missed appointments being kicked out!! I’ve proven she lied and changed paperwork to go with her lies still kicked out!! She’s never not once offered the help she can and is supposed to! I’ve asked for a new worker multiple times and never got a response from anyone, they all go together and will help each other out with no regards to a family of 4 with no help and having domestic issues!! Terrible place I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone that wants real help beacause you’ll get a worker that doesn’t care and just wants to do write ups and not actually work to help you!! Took over a year to get help with childcare from them but also got written up for not having a job or looking for one or having savings??? Lmao how do they expect someone to do that with a 3 year old with them all day everyday?? They have bus passes they should give their clients but lucky if you get one or even told about it!! Summer full day camp for kids free but they won’t tell you about it unless you find out by someone and then they won’t respond to you about it till 3 weeks before summer ends but no problem writing you up for stuff that’s out of your control at the moment!! Maybe you’ll get a worker like mine that will go as far to change paperwork in the computer to go with her Lies and make it look like you missed an appointment when it was her even if you have the original papers! But they’ll believe her and dismiss that you have the proof!! They’ll do what they want and let you go with out a worker for almost 5 months and when you get one she’ll write you up for not doing things you had no idea you were supposed to do since no worker means you were never told!! And even if I was told I have three kids by myself with no help so walking around all day job hunting and doing interviews is impossible!! Working a full time job with 3 kids home all day is impossible !! Saving money you don’t have is impossible!! If you want real help and you’re a single mother that’s been through hell for a few years and trying to really get everything back and get on your own don’t go here it will only set you back further and make more stress and problems for you!!
