Drove an hour each way to meet a specific puppy we were interested in adopting. We were told we would hear from them one way or another as to whether we were a “good fit”. After a 20 minute interaction with the puppy and a volunteer who never asked us any questions about us, our home, area, lives etc we left and have yet to hear from any staff. As the puppy is no longer available, I’m assuming we weren’t a “good fit”? We felt because we were not interested in any other pups we were deemed unsuitable. Weird place with lots of show boating going on. Many animals in need of adoption in the area and we won’t be inquiring with this place again. Disappointing.

If I could I wouldn’t even leave one star, this shelter is inhumane and awful, the way they treat their animals is terrible the same as they treat their staff, by separating bonded animals and euthanizing animals that don’t need to be. Lying to their staff saying that an animal has been adopted but was actually euthanized. Someone who adopted a cat from the shelter ran away for only a week after the shelter calls them and tells them that their cat has been adopted by someone else and that there are other cats they can get. I am shocked that the shelter is still open. People truly don’t see what is happening on the inside, see four stars but you don’t know the truth.

I have always donated and have even dropped off supplies I collected from others and myself because they were in need. NEVER AGAIN. Our dog ran out of our door and was 2 streets away and picked up by animal control within 5 minutes before we could find her. We called before they even knew animal control had her and wanted to grab her directly from animal control because I did not want her locked in a cage alone. They did not help us get directly in contact with animal control so we could get her right away and said that we HAD to wait until she got there. Once she did they said BECAUSE she stepped foot in their building we had to pay fees and couldn’t have her until we did. My husband didn’t have money on him at the time and they said he couldn’t have her and needed to leave to get funds. It was all a cash grab so they could collect money from us when animal control was blocks away. I will absolutely NEVER give a single penny or supply to this place ever again via fundraiser or any other means. Taking advantage of someone to squeak money out of them and act like it’s mandated and goes to the state when it goes directly in their pockets. If you truly cared about the well-being of my dog you would have had me contact animal control directly so she didn’t have to go through this experience, but then again you couldn’t have forced money out of someone’s pocket. I hope you enjoyed this minimal fee causing no future support from me for a lifetime.

I had a great experience here adopting the new addition to my family "Oreo". They were very nice and made sure they did their research to make sure Oreo would have a safe and loving home. We absolutely love him so much and he is so sweet and laid back. I'm glad I had the opportunity to give him the love he deserves.

Go to forever paws or the potter league shelter in Middletown they ate really great
Do they need anything. Ok. I would like to bring some stuff thanks
We do have some kittens but you do have to make an appointment. Best to fill out an application that can be found on our website at www.foreverpaws.com under adopt. Send in and we can approve application ahead of time.
Best to try find that poor puppy a home yourself ..
As far as I know yes, but you have to be at least 17 to walk the dogs.
Mary Ann I agree with Nancy. We do not do our own spay and neutering. We utilize various veterinarians do take care of our animals. There are some low cost hospitals in various locations.
You can check with Forever Paws. They may be able to help, depending on if they're at capacity or not. There are many other organizations in the area, as well : Project Spay in Swansea, Potter League in Middletown, RI, and several others in Dartmouth, Acushnet and New Bedford.
Arthur is correct I may add that you might want to have an approved application ahead of time. It just makes it easier to expedite your application
Sorry but I do not know that language. I tried to find a translation but could not.
We do post the pictures of kittens when we have them. They are also posted on Pet Finder.

Yes go to Middle Town Ri. Go to the dog kennel there.I my respect this is a special breed of animal. All the other shelters have a scarce variety of animals. You want the best Middle Town Ri. But know most people keep these animals until they pass or give to another family members. Read about Bull Dogs. Many different types.
Dear,Mrs.Laplante I tried to approach this agency to link up with my group.I was told if I ever returned they would have me arrested. So what i would do go to the shelter in Middle Town Ri. Better care and less hassle. I did adopt a staffashire terrior named Perdy from them. But as I went back to explain to them my group was only here to help animals allso.Who knows maybe they thought I was the competition. I was not.
Depends on where you go...check all rescued of mass fees go from 100/500
Per their website, dogs and puppies 11 months or older, adoption fee is $280. For puppies 10 months or younger it's $400. That includes all spay/neuter, flea &tick treatment and all necessary vaccines as well as a microchip placement. I'd give the website a look if you have further questions. Hope this helps!
Yes they do have puppies, and the adoption fee, varys, thier is an adoption process people need to go throu before they can be adopted. ..
Yes they are, if u got an animal for free & took it to the vet to get it neutered/ spayed and all it's shots it would cost you close to $500- $600. Depending on what kind of animal. So when you look at it that way it not expensive. The cost also feeds, gives medical care & shelter to all the animals in the shelter.
Yes ut is a no kill but u need to call to be put on a waiting list to surrender your cats
Yes, they're closed tomm but open 11-4 everyday except Wed.
You cam ho on foreverpaws.com & click on adopt. Scroll down & there will be picks & info on anamals at the shelter on the right.
Check forever paws, and potter league in Middletown
You can it's always worth a try. Very nice place
They have plenty of pitbulls to adopt that need loving forever homes
They don't take stray dogs. You can get help from your local animal control.
If you talk to your parents and they agree for you to do it. The best thing is to go visit and ask. My daughter did it at around your age and loved it. Good luck
Give them a call grwat people
Not sure but if you bring them too a pet shop they would probably rehome them
