Great trails, a lot of wildlife, your def out in nature! There's no houses, no noise from cars anywhere. Very nice place, very nice people.I'd def recommend! There's also a small native plant nursery there as well. Pretty good selection! Check em out!

Nice, quiet walking trails not far from the Punta Gorda airport. While we only saw 1 turtle swimming in the distance it was still enjoyable and, we did see raccoon & bob cat prints on the trail. As others have stated it was muddy so be prepared.

A local who had never been to this park found a pleasant surprise. I won't repeat other reviewers comments about wildlife, muddy trails, etc..it's all there. Repeat. Muddy. Entire trail system, contains trail markers and informational signage.Covers several miles and should satisfy most seeking a close up view of this type of ecosystem and habitat. Informational centers were closed during the weekend in January 2020.

We went just a couple of days ago. The mosquitoes were the worst I have ever experienced. When we went during the dryer months they were not a problem.
Yes, CHEC still curates ECO tours with King Fisher boat tours. Come on out and enjoy a ride you won't soon forget.
@Deanna Rodriguez the trails are natural and several will be difficult for strollers. "Eagle Point," which is the most traveled, is a 1-mile trail that is solidly packed and usually dry. The trail conditions are posted at a large kiosk off the parking lot. This is the best way to ensure your trail is dry and ready to travel.
Hello Ameri. Thank you for your question. A fish floating near the water's surface is perfectly normal. As one of the commenters mentioned, fish will do this for a number of reasons. Many fish feed on insects and prefer to lurk near the surface, patiently waiting. If you watch the fish long enough, you'll see them flee predators, eat smaller fish and insects, or even socialize with fish "friends."
Not sure, whats convenient is its across the way from bo's property! Did u have a rough night?
