i’ve had to take my cat here for a few emergencies in the past and they’ve always been wonderful in getting him better. today unfortunately when i took him in they diagnosed him with feline leukemia and said that putting him to sleep was the best option. they were very kind and empathetic during this time and i never doubted them that what we had to do was the right decision. they helped make the last moments of my cats life peaceful and provided me with comfort through a really difficult time. i highly recommend this place for any emergency you might have with your pet. thank you to the staff that was there august 3rd 2022 from 12pm - 3pm

Great place run by pleasant professionals. Most negative reviews seem to be from overly emotional people who don't understand how stretched thin vets are right now. Here's my experience: 1. My dog bravely attacks a porcupine on a hike. 2. My dog is now covered in about 150 barbed quills; in extreme pain, freaking out. 3. I call every vet near me; none have any availability for the next month (!) 4. I call the two nearest emergency vet hospitals; none have any availability for the next 12 hours. 5. I call this place - they say they can see him immediately. 6. I drive the extra distance to avoid having to wait 12 hrs while my dog suffers. 7. They take my dog in as soon as I arrive, then sedate him and get to work. 8. About ninety minutes later he's good to go. Bill was itemized & reasonable. 9. A week later, my dog's face is puffing up, probably due to a residual infection from the quills. 10. I call back, and they send in antibiotics to my local pharmacy without hesitation. 11. My dog is now healthy again. Thanks guys.

We had to have our beloved Scout euthanized and the staff there was absolutely fantastic. Caring, compassionate and extremely professional at the same time. We were going to use our normal vet, who we were comfortable with, but Scout’s condition advanced so rapidly that we had no choice but to go to the ER instead. I don’t think anyone or anyplace could have done better making us, and Scout, feel comfortable in this very difficult time!!

I know everyone has different experiences with pet emergencies, but I am so grateful for all of the staff at CDVRH. My dog, Pete, was sick throwing up on Thursday, I monitored him, and he became worse on Friday, not eating, lethargic, etc. We brought him to a local vet Friday afternoon, where they were able to do X-rays and tell me that it’s possible he had a blockage. However, it was Friday afternoon at 4pm, and they were closing at 5pm and couldn’t do anything more for him. She recommended I monitor him, and wait until morning to see if he’s any better. A few hours later, I could tell he was in pain and very uncomfortable. I called around to other emergency clinics and my normal vet, and none of them had an on call surgeon who would be able to do the surgery if that’s what he needed. I called CDVRH, and the receptionist checked to see if they’d be able to do surgery if necessary, and thankfully they could. We brought Pete in within an hour, where they triaged him and came up with a plan to assess his situation. Unfortunately, Pete did need surgery to remove an acorn that was lodged in his intestinal tract. The doctor called me before surgery and after surgery in the middle of the night, and the office called me first thing in the morning to give me an update. The communication was great, everyone was professional, and I am forever grateful they had a surgeon on staff to help us. Thank you to the tech Gloria, Dr Summers, and all the support staff and receptionists for helping my boy, and getting him back to himself!

We took rats to them for several years, so I think they can treat mice as well.

How much does it cost to get a cat spayed?

This is an animal hospital. I have only used them for emergencies. You should call them to see if they do this or check with your regular vet.
