I've changed my rating. After a rough start with a grumpy person in the office, we went ahead and brought a load of trash and recyclables in. The place is well organized and the workers in the yard were friendly. Prices are very reasonable.

Not anymore! Owner is now working at the dumpsters and barks at the customers like, well, a junkyard dog. I’ve been going here since it opened 10 years ago. Staff were great and very helpful, so I recommended it to countless neighbors. Was a good alternative to the town dump where the guys were kind of crotchety. But recently, the owner has been at the dumpsters, and you can tell right off the bat that he is the owner because no staff would ever be that rude. Maybe he’ll go back to work in the office, but for now, the town dump is friendly enough and the guys always give you a “hey how you doing!”

Great place. Easy to get to. Great service. Well organized. I suggest bringing large loads and using the scale. You'll get the better deal. Get rid of more stuff for the lowest price.

This is the second time I have visited the place. The first time was ok. The gentleman who was taking care of us was nice and attentive and this price was accurate. This time though, there is an older woman, who was on the phone with her friend, was kind of rude, didn’t really pay attention to what was actually in the car (4 boxes of yard waste and 1 large trash bag and 1 box of trash) and was just like “all of that will probably be like 15 dollars” and continued to yell into the phone to her friend on the phone, apologizing to her friend for talking to other people -“- It’s alright to be on the phone with your friend while you are at work, I understand that sometimes... there are urgent things and you need to take care of that, but at least please be nice and attentive to your customer while you are doing so.

Thank you Garret, and I understand that a mattress, couch etc. Is more but there is a $10 fee to get scaled?
They have facilities for proper disposal of anything you can haul there. Very friendly, competent service.
I think they will take them for a fee. There might be a coolant issue?
To much!!! Bring them to Kanes, they take it for free, no cost.
Yes, we can take it, the cost would be $.08 per lb. guessing it might be 500 lb, $40.
Those both can be thrown away in our Residential disposal area, please speak to an attendant for pricing. Thank you.
$15 for twin, $20 for full or queen, $25 ft or king, mattresses or box springs.
I don't think so they just throw them away if your looking to get rid of them donate to the cancer connection place right up the road from valley by the bridge
Any paint has to be hardened with cat litter or paint hardner. With any paint or residue they are trash at $1 to $2.
Usually $20 to $25 size dependent, $35 for sleeper.
Yes they take yard waste for a fee. Check website.
They have a donation container on the right as you enter the facility NO charge
Valley Recycling appears to be able to accept about anything you may want to to dispose of. They have procedures and bins for for everything. Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful. Somehow they manage services for commercial haulers with huge trucks and householders with a bag or two of trash at the same time and with equal ease. May seem crazy, but in some way it is a fun place.
Cardboard is free to dispose of but I would break them down so they are flat
Unfortunately we don’t, there is no regional facility to process it. Thank you.
The fee for dried paint or cans would be based on the weight, 1/2 gallon of dried pair would be $2 to $3. A CD player would be $3 to $5 again dependent on size. Thanks
I don't believe so
