No signs saying to make an appointment, so we made an appointment. No signs saying check in, so while standing waiting we were skipped and then someone with an appointment 20 min after ours was taken before us because they were checking in. They just need to iron out the wrinkles in this plan.

The Milford DMV is the way to go. The staff were kind helpful and friendly all around. They do take appointments first so I would recommend making an appointment, they proceed people who just walk in and sometimes I can make people a little angry so make sure to book an appointment ahead of time. I was in and out of there in about 20 minutes, got my license duplicate and everything went well. I would definitely recommend going to the Milford DMV over the Nashua DMV all day. I waited in line at the national DMV just for 20 minutes just to wait some more and I ended up leaving. So if you live close or the same distance from both I would definitely go to the Milford DMV it's located right next to the Milford district courthouse.

I'm waiting for a title so I didn't get the 20 day plate I went there for but the people were really good and pleasant to talk with. Not a long wait either which was nice.

We made an appointment ahead of time, but still had to wait 30 minutes. They were very busy but the lady I saw was nice. Even with appointments still expect to wait, those places are always busy.

600 to 700 dollars
Social security card recent electric bill....birth certificate. Old lic.
Nice people here and very accommodating. I would get a duplicate license here again.
You can do it in Milford just bring your birth certificate, SS card (not laminated) and proof of residency which can be your current driver's license, registration, electric bill, lease or property tax bill. However if Saturday mornings work better, you can do it in Nashua the 2nd Saturday of each month from 8-12
Pretty sure you have to go to Nashua for anything CDL related
No
I believe you have a limited time to transfer your drivers license after moving. It's easy to schedule an appointment through the DMV website specifically for a license transfer. Took only 20 minutes, with no waiting at the DMV. Review the document requirements closely, especially if you need a Real ID. Proof of residency can only be provided by certain items for a Real ID, which is not the case for a standard driver's license.
You don't need to make an appointment, but they take appointments before walk INS so it's recommended
You likely get a temporary paper copy until the full ID is printed, but that's based on driver's license issuing I witnessed a couple weeks ago, so I'm not 100% sure
yes. if you have a signed letter from him stating it was lost. include his full name dob and address on there
title and bill of sale
Place is pretty much shut down besides one person taking calls and making appointments. I went in 3 weeks ago for a duplicate license and had to submit a form which was processed later.
10$ for a non drivers
Every state requires birth certificate. Just about every state has an office of vital records or statistics that can obtain a certified copy. Some states are easier then others. But you should be able to get one at the vital statistics/records of the state you were born in. So whichever state you were born in, Google that state along with 'vital statistics' and it should pop up. You can also do this for us territories. If you are a foriegner and it's a matter of international documentation. You should be able to get help through a us embassy to obtain your records or a waiver for said records.
Then you will have to go to the SS office and get a new card from them.
