Stay away from this office. May of this year I had a new patient appointment with Dr. Murphy in this office after having all my records transferred. At this time I set another appointment to get referrals to specialists that I needed. The end of June I received a letter from the office telling me that Dr. Murphy would be leaving the practice. The letter stated that I could be "assured Internal Medicine Balltown road will ensure your ongoing care" and that they had practitioners that could serve as my PCP. I called the office and was told that they had not hired, but the plans were to bring a NP or PA on board; not another doctor. I called again a couple of weeks later and was told that they had hired someone and that there would be no disruption to care. Since it is extremely hard right now to find PCP's that will take on new patients, I decided I would wait and see who had been hired and give them a try. In the meantime, I have received no other correspondence from this office regarding the change or who would become my caregiver. Last week I received a message through the portal that my upcoming appointment in November had been cancelled and that the office would be contacting me to reschedule. I have heard nothing from the office since. With nothing else being said I will not continue with this office because there seems to be no regard for patient care here at all. There is poor communication and patients are just being left in limbo. No patient should have appointments cancelled through a portal with a claim to reschedule. There should be enough common courtesy to pick up the phone and call the patient so that you can reschedule a new appointment at the same time.

It’s the worst place to go. Poor staff management, irresponsible and never calls back if you leave them a message. I would not recommend this to anyone. anyone anywhere would be better and doing their job better than these people. Given me appointments twice and changed it 30mins before I walked in.

Dr Christine Murphy has continuously treated me beyond poorly. She talked down to me from day one with her as my primary. My last experience on 6/3/2020, was so bad I sobbed and sobbed for hours after. She made me feel like my health and well-being are totally insignificant. I’ve never encountered a doctor so non-empathetic and completely disrespectful and oblivious of my needs. She does not include me in my own treatment plans. She could care less about my thoughts, feelings or opinions and least of all my health. I suggest you look elsewhere if you’re looking for a primary MD who will treat you with kindness and possess basic medical knowledge. Please note that I did try to switch doctors long ago but was told by the office staff who I’d rate a 1.5, that changing doctors is not allowed within the practice.
