The cream of the crop when it comes to local historical society museums. Enjoyed my visit, talking with the resident railroad expert, and seeing all the photographs & exhibits. Also found a VT Golden Oldie geocache.

Staff was friendly, museum was clean & well organized, very informative displays. It was awesome they had an open house with free admission for the Maplefest, really enjoyed sharing history with my boys instead of the ridiculous carnival mess in the rain!

I went here on a community outing and the staff was amazingly accommodating. They took time to connect with each person and answered any questions we had. I didn't even realize how much time flew by as we were looking at all the exhibits.

The Saint Albans Museum has a listing of local Underground Railroad sites. Many are private residences, businesses, or no longer exist - but you are welcome to read more about them. We also recommend the book "The Underground Railroad in Vermont" by Michelle Sherburne.
