We found this little hidden gem near a crowded and very loud restaurant with outdoor seating. The first time we approached the quaint little early 1900s house we sadly found it to be closed (to be fair it was the start of Gasparilla Pirate Festival). Luckily, during this trip to Tampa Bay (I love in the DFW area) it was open. As soon as the door opens, you are met with beautiful papers (my favorite) pens, inks, and pencils. The goal of the owners of this lovely business is to encourage people to step away from their devises and spend time writing. Whether diary entries, notes, or snail mail letters, the art of writing has become a thing of the past. The Paper Seahorse provides beautiful items of all types for all writers (young and old) to express themselves with the written word. I’m so excited to have been able to finally get to visit and look forward to my next trip.

I love this store. I bought a typewriter from them a little over a year ago and have been going back and shopping online with them for my stationary needs and for gifts. I recommend them to family and friends looking that something special, a little joy in the things we use everyday. Whether looking for an item for yourself or a gift for another, look here. My first visit was truly magical, and every visit since has been better and better! This is where you go when you want to experience the joys of being screen free. This place cares so much about helping you find the right writing tools, notebooks, stationery, and more so you can be creative and keep in touch with yourself and others. I love attending their workshops and they have free origami meet ups here too! I always come here when I can't think of a gift to give someone because everything here is unique and suuuuch nice quality. Thanks for keeping Tampa Bay awesome!

Such a cute stationary store! I really appreciate the sense of community they possess. Paper Seahorse offers frequent workshops, hosts club meetings, and hosts a lot of cool classes like calligraphy and writing thank you notes. I like the quality selection of cards and writing tools such as fountain pens and fine tipped felt pens. It's not a huge stationary store so it's likely they won't have everything you're looking for. Just for the people that are looking for stickers like I was!
