What a great hidden gem!!! I wandered in while waiting for the framing store, and left with not one, but SIX books. They were all only $2-$3! All the proceeds go to the library to support its extracurriculars. What could be better, it's a win win. And the volunteer workers were extremely amiable.

Wow, just wow. Don't go here if you love books and have a budget. The staff is also very nice and helpful.

AMAZING prices and selection. Make sure you come with time to spare, because there is a lot to look through. Truly a hidden gem.

The best bookstore in the Bay Area! Used books, CD's and DVD's, most in very good to excellent condition at fantastic prices (anywhere from 25 cents to $5), and all proceeds go to the Berkeley Public Library. Staffed solely by volunteers. Great place to donate books, CD's and DVD's. There's even a cart with totally free books. Don't miss it!

Yes, we do. Newer ones (past five years or so) are preferable. At the moment we're not accepting donations, btw, but will resume on Monday the 23rd. Thanks for thinking of us!

Do you have (at what price) The end of Alzheimer's by Dale Bredesen?

Hi Carl--If you call during the hours the store is open (Tues-Sat 10-4), someone may be able to scan the shelves for you, but it's really better to come in and check for yourself.
