Dr. Cook was not helpful but very judgmental of me as the parent. Blaming me for my kids disorder. Met several times. She was only concerned with money and being paid for her 15/20 minutes of her time. Then went up in office dues during the pandemic, when in quarantine. We stayed because we couldn’t get into another psychiatrist right away. She had a quick FaceTime visit with my kid (paid in full) and then texted a brief message to find another psychiatrist. We have found someone else and couldn’t be happier.

We’ve been on the search for a psychiatrist for my little brother. I was so excited when I came across Dr Cook and all the positive reviews over the weekend. My mom called right away monday and there was no answer, tuesday passed and called again and no answer , she even left a voicemail too. By Wednesday we realized there was an email on the website and reached out through email, someone responded back and told my mom to call again Thursday morning. My mom called again in the morning and no answer once again. Someone returned her call until 7:30 pm. When my mom kindly tried to ask if this was the only number we can reach the office at, because she’s been trying to reach them since Monday, that person quickly cut her off and said “ yes this is the only number we have, did no one call you back? “ when my mom responded that no one had called her back this person then proceeded to laugh and say “ well I am calling you back now aren’t I? “ and my mom told her “ yes ..after 4 calls someone calls me back” Then at the end this person just says “ Look ma’am i think the Dr is not what you’re looking for , I hope you have a good day” and hanged up. Im not sure if maybe this person was in a rush or had a bad day or if they’ve been swamped with work , but regardless I just wish we were treated with more kindness and empathy. In a way I am very glad my brother did not become a patient there , I don’t even want to imagine what we would do if something goes wrong and we cant get a hold of them.

Dr. Ramirez-Cook is kind, professional, and very caring doctor. She has helped our child out of a really hard time. We are seeing exceptional progress. She makes herself available to us via text and phone calls if there is an emergency. My child feels like themself again and we are very happy parents.
