I think I have more chances of winning the lottery than getting some help from a shelter anywhere in Orlando Fl. I have applied for this specific "H.O.M.E" and called them to follow up numerous times, for almost 2 years. Nothing. It would be good if the people in charge of this place could actually help all this women get back on their feet and move on rather than giving them shelter for soooo long and living it at that. There are many, im sure, other women like ME that can really use a place like this to get back on their feet and truly inspire and help others in this situations. I am willing to work anywhere, i am willing to do whatever it takes so give my children a better life away from my abusive husband but I cannot find a place that can just give us a place to sleep, is all I ask for :( .Very often women here in Fl die in the hands of their husbands. We have nowhere to go! Shelters are full, police are freaking useless, unless your husband beats the crap out of you, you are wasting your time calling them. Where Is The Help? What do I need to do to get some help? I'm sick and tired of living like this and more than ready to move on. I really wish I could do it on my own. But its me AND my kids. Where is the help? :(
