I'm writing this review because I think it's important to set the record straight. I just read a negative review of this business and it doesn't sound anything like the gracious, generous, kind, and fair owner I have had the pleasure of doing business with for years. I first came into Tony's store with my aunt many years ago and he could not have been more kind. We had gone to one other buyer on the Cape and not felt comfortable at all, so, luckily, we found Tony online. My aunt was very pleased with how she was treated and with what he paid her (this was probably 8 years ago), as I have been in selling my mother's jewelry over the past few years. Tony doesn't "throw" customers' jewelry as the negative review suggested. He is very respectful and has always been happy to explain what I've brought to him (some of it costume jewelry, some of it plated, and some of it sterling silver). My guess is that this reviewer paid top dollar for jewelry that wasn't real and didn't like hearing that. Also, it sounds as though she called a store in Falmouth with the same name since she received a price quote, because Tony has explained to me why he can't do that without seeing each piece and not wanting to disappoint people. I'm sorry the reviewer was confused and upset but I feel strongly that it's only fair to represent the store and the owner fairly and as they truly are. This is definitely the BEST place to be treated well by a charming man who will put you at ease and give you top dollar for what you want to sell.

Well I read reviews of Cape Cod Gold and Silver and I must say they are all true if they say that Tony is fair and honest. We had some jewelry which we were paid a good price for, also my wife had a diamond ring which Tony gave her a good price for but said we could do better elsewhere, no pressure just complete honesty. It was a pleasure to meet you today and thanks again .

There is NO WAY Tony would ever cheat a guy out of his silver coin values. I owned a jewelry store (Taryn's MIrror) for 22 years in Hyannis. Luckily for me, I had some old gold that I'd bought before the price surged. Tony gave me a fair scrap price, and I made a timely profit (gold was at an all time high that day). He charges a small fee over daily spot price for scraping the gold. It's a tough business with many regulations. I've sent dozens of friends and old customers to Tony, and all have thanked me for the referral. He offers the best prices on Cape Cod, and will even quote you a daily price on the phone (which many dealers refuse to do). I wouldn't think twice about going to anyone else but Tony at Cape Cod Gold & Silver in Sandwich, MA!
