Lovely museum with beautiful exhibits and a wonderful glass blowing demonstration. While we were there it was busy enough that the gentleman doing the demonstration was making a glass blown pumpkin every half hour! A few interactive exhibits are sprinkled throughout the museum. They have a scavenger hunt for children and it is a great way to keep younger kids entertained and interested...perfect for our 6 year old. Our 3 year old loved the glass-blowing demonstration but was a little too young to stay interested in the exhibits or scavenger hunt.

Love glass pieces!! A guy demonstrate how glass is blown. Although I have seen this before somewhere else, it was very interesting. Antique glass, they also had a large piece in glass, I think called kinetic art, real cool!! Check out the garden in front!!

I absolutely loved the Sandwich Glass Museum. It is chock full of glassware and by the local glass company in particular. We must have spent close to two hours there but could have spent more. I will need to visit it again to view the items towards the end that I just did not have time for. I also loved the live demonstration. They also sell very beautiful items in the store. I will definitely recommend this for people to go and see

Fun place to visit. Lots and lots of glass artifacts and history. Only wish I could have seen the actual demonstration of a piece being made. There were just too many people. I'm short and it was standing room only. Couldn't see a thing. My husband at least got a good pic for me..he is taller. Gift shop had many nice things in it.

My Grandma brought me here for the first time when I was about 12 and I have gone back 3 or 4 times since. The glass blowers are great with all ages at explaining what they are doing. While there is no exhibit space directed at kids only it is a great way to introduce them to the art of glass. It is also down the street from the Heritage Gardens which is very kid friendly and after you go through the glass museum you can walk the park across the street. There is a little fountain you can drink from, a mill, and watch the swans and ducks in the pond behind it.
The Boston and Sandwich Glass Company made a number of miniatures -,primarily as children’s toys. This included glass irons, bibles, tea sets etc.
The company was incorporated in 1826 according to the brochure I got when I was there. It really is worth the visit. The glass collection is incredible
Absolutely depending what you need
Glassblowing is done daily, every hour on the hour. The first of the day is at 10am and the last of the day is at 4:00pm.
Sorry I do not have it...
That is a question you will have to research. I do not think that they consign tiara sandwich amber, or any other glass for that matter. You can contact them directly and they can give you an answer or information on how to sell it. They should have someone there that's an expert!
Judith, i'm sure they'd be more than happy to help you
Yes, we are open on Columbus Day 9:30am-5;00pm. Live glassblowing every hour on the hour.
We do. In addition, from Nov, 15 - Dec 30 we celebrate with "Glassblowers' Christmas" featuring a gallery of trees with Cape Cod glass artist ornaments for sale.
At this time or demonstration stage is too small for public glass blowing.
Yes you csn order online from them...
There was a cartoon exhibit that featured some well known animated characters but Snoopy was not represented.
The historic Sandwich glass was not made in today's museum location but glass is produced at the museum currently.
