We did the canoe rental, (5 mile) we got there late in the day, so we did the 1:30 trip..... Still was very relaxing, you don't hear traffic, all you hear is the wild nature, birds animals, we got to see lots of Gators and turtles of course, and the cows / bulls, that was cool.... And found a few sharks teeth....and we brought our small 🐕 dog

Last time I canoed down Peace River was 25 years ago with my dad. I was so excited to take my boys now that they're old enough to enjoy it (and help 😅). They absolutely loved it!! We did 5 miles and I can't wait to take them on a longer trip with an overnight camping trip.

We spent four hours paddling down and standing in the Peace River shifting rocks and sand looking for shark teeth and fossils and we found a bunch! The whole time we were keeping an eye out for alligators which we saw all over the place along with turtles and many types of birds. The folks that work there were helpful and friendly. They also provided us with various pieces of information on what to look for and where to go. The Canoe Outpost - on Peace River is Florida's oldest outfitter. They offer wilderness half day, full day, and overnight canoe-camping trips and were founded in 1969 by the Stout family from Sarasota.

Plenty of parking and provided all gears necessary for the canoe, kids at the dock are very friendly, couldn't say the same about register lady, but we really had a great time paddling the river, views are amazing and you have 'till 5pm for the $44 payed, so try to be early to enjoy the full day. (bring plenty of hidratation and snacks)

We do! We have 5 available.
There are 9 different overnight trips available from full wilderness 5 day trips to 8 mile trips with the camping gear delivered. It’s all in what kind of experience you want and the river level at that time.
Mid summer
Depends on the age of the people and what you’re bringing. Water levels and more but between 2 and 4 people can fit in a canoe.
We were wading in the water for 3 hrs straight and never saw any gators.
Yes.

It was right around $50 for all day but it depends on the run you paddle I imagine. We did the 5 mile down river where they bus you and the canoes and your stuff up river. You paddle the 5 mile down river run stopping as much as you want but all canoes had to be back by 5pm
No glass please because of above but we also have no glass recycle in this county
As long as you let us know at least a day before cancellation, there is no penalty.
Hi there, all our day canoes are $45 per canoe for two people. Paddle trips are 5, 8, & 12 miles. Kids, 12 & under, in the middle are free. We take you upriver, drop you off, and you paddle back to your vehicle. Please call for a reservation though, we do have set departure times.
Hi there, the Peace River Campground is right next door in Arcadia. You can walk over or drive over. They have tent and RV hook-ups. It is an ATV park is that matters. The next closest is Brownville Park, just up the road about 8 miles or 10 minutes. It's a quieter, county-owned park with tent & hook-ups. Both are right on the river.
Thanks Hannah Miller for answering, this question slipped by us!
Yes
The river is a public waterway but we as a business are open every day but Christmas Day.
