These folks are so busy that sometimes it seems like they don't really care, but they do. Trust me. They are short staffed, so it makes things really difficult for them. My pets have been patients for years and everyone is really kind. I don't want to call anyone out for fear of forgetting someone who has been part of our care team, but I will say the Dr. Frake is really wonderful.

I scheduled a nail trim for my cats, only to get there and be told they couldn’t do it due to scheduling issues. I understand mistakes happen, but this is something that should be communicated with patients well in advance.

Like some of the other comments listed… high robbery… I came in to get a flu shot for my dog to continue going to the foggy day care and they charged me 125 dollars! A flu shot back in Vegas is 20 dollars… they did services I did not ask for as in a full examination review on my dog to make sure I wasn’t “lying” about taking care of my dog… I clearly had just given them the vaccination sheet from petsmart! I will never go to this place again… it’s easier to fly back to Vegas and take him ti his regular vet than doing anything here…. Once again 125 for a flu shot! And then had the nerve to tell me that I could sign up for their wellness program for 50 dollars a month ….. and they only mention all these charges after signing up for it…. They are liars and thiefs.

I have so far had a very unpleasant experience with Dr Jillian Schrier and another person who I don’t know her name. Dr. Schrier not only stacks up unnecessary tests and procedure but after calling her out on it she refused to continue treatment. She also gave very contradictory direction and treatment plans that made no sense. Perhaps that’s why she backed out of continuing treatment. I was told to see another doctor there and I did because I didn’t have a choice. Dr. Chapman seemed nice, knowledgeable and reasonable, but I still am very disappointment about all the money that Dr. Jillian Schrier had us pay and then act so unprofessional and childish and not want to talk to me or refuse to see my pup. She also claimed I yelled at her which is absolutely not true. We did have a tense discussion and I did tell her and another person there what they did was unethical and at least on one of the blood tests refunding my money would’ve been a good compromise, but there was no yelling. While Dr Chapman (and Jonathan) was very professional and didn’t make me feel uncomfortable at all, but this whole situation makes me so nervous and I don’t trust the practice in general. I have also made an appointment with Dr Frake for all the reviews here, but she seems very busy.

You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Sep 2, 2020

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
