The Cottonwood Lake Campground exceeded our expectations. When we arrived at 10:00AM on Sunday, July 10, there were a bunch of sites available, and we had no problem securing one that was large enough for two two-person tents to fit comfortably. The host greeted us when we arrived, and we were able to buy firewood on-site. The fire pit had a built-in grill rack which gave us a lot of options for cooking meals. There were plenty of bathrooms throughout the campground, and they all appeared to be well-kept. To enjoy some time by the water, you can walk down the street to Cottonwood Lake, where campers and other visitors seem to enjoy kayaking, paddle boarding, etc. There are also many hikes in the area to choose from. Would definitely recommend Cottonwood Lake Campground.

We camped at a dispersed campground down the road and the stream and a Beaver damn were right next to us.
Weekends are extremely busy here and spots fill up typically by Friday afternoon in the actual campground. There are primitive camp sites along the road further up from the campground but those also fill up quick. Cell signal is spotty mostly 3g on most carriers with the occasion lte for Verizon depending on where you are around the lake
No, it's o a first come, first serve basis. There are 25 sites. Check in is at 12 noon & check our is at 2:00 pm.
Camping above the lake is alot better more of the ooutdoor experience still alot of people but alot more spread out I'm a local and still enjoy the area. If you go the before memorial day alot less people the temperature is chilly but you can enjoy the peace and quiet
