Quiet and kid friendly. Close to the lake which is a must do for hiking, fishing etc. The beaver ponds on the way in are super cool. Our only issue is that there was no camp host and when we left our site and returned after a day of being out, someone had set up their camp in our site. He didn’t seem to believe that we paid 2 nights and that my ticket on the post was valid so he tried to find a host to “settle” it but was unsuccessful. We’ve never experienced something like this so we were kind of rattled by the fact that he put up a fight about it. Our chairs, fire wood, dog leash and shoe mat were all left at the site along with my ticket on the post showing our departure date. Real bizarre and a bit unsettling.

Great fishing in the lake for rainbow, lake, cutbow, and brook trout. The creek is good for smal brook trout. The campgrounds are well kept up and have firewood for fires. It is bear country and there are moose in the area to watch for.

Beautiful place, the campground was clean, quiet, had trash disposal close. Bathrooms were in good condition and also has a water pump handy.
