Raised the price of laundry and half the time the machines are broken and it takes months to fix/replace. 1 dryer was down for almost 3 years b4 they replaced it and now its down again

The Property Manager has been very interested in making sure everything was clean, operating correctly and decorated in time for the move-in date. One issue while living here presented and the same day three different companies came to make sure of proper operation. This was very responsible, appropriate and impressive. Troy Gardens clearly understands these are our homes and care for the buildings and the grounds well too. The head of maintenance here is a very conscientious person. All in all they set a standard of what a landlord/management company can be and they are recognized here with gratitude and appreciation.

Lived in an old building at a good price. Had an issue with birds nesting on my a/c. The office sent pest control right away. The bathroom floor tiles also cracked due to age. The office sent a flooring contractor pretty quickly. I had to leave my 2nd year’s lease early due to my work requiring me to move. The office let me leave the lease early if I found a subletter or paid rent until they found a new renter. I chose the latter and it took them less than a month to find a new tenant. My lease had me forfeit $200 of my security deposit for normal wear & tear. That was the only downside. Though, I did get the rest of my security deposit back and partial rent refund for when the next tenant moved in. Between the rent being fair, the office being responsive, and them being understanding towards me having to leave my 2nd year lease early, I give this place 5 stars.

House are old but in decent condition. Edit (Nov 2017): I've been living in this place for over 2 years and will be leaving soon due to my work. It's been a wonderful time living in here. This place is clean, tidy and beautiful. The house is old, but still in great condition. The price is slightly higher than the other apartments nearby but Troy Gardens has the best location and public areas. People here are nice (a lot of RPI students), maintenance people are doing their job, Sarah (manager) is friendly and usually helpful although sometimes work are done a little bit slow. Public area are maintained well, grasses are cut weekly so that gardens are never messy. Parking is easy on 21st or 22nd street. If I have another chance to live in east Troy area, I would definitely stay again. A wonderful experience, 4.8/5 stars.
