Great place to work if you are coming straight out of A&P School. They run 3 shifts, though new guys usually get stuck on 1st (7:15-15:30). Starting pay is $18.50 with affordable insurance. The bushes consist of 2 huge hangers able to hold (6 to 7) 737's/Airbus's a peice. Work environment is safe, but you are hounded to get work done. Though honestly, if you just stay busy and don't stop to talk to everyone that was by, you will go far. Most of the supervisors are friendly, as well as the leads. Overall, it's a great place to work and to get some OTJ experience for your career.

Great place to work for and great place to have work done on your fleet of airplanes

Management is incompetent. High rates of turnover in the first year. I quit after 10 months because of how badly organized this place was. 120 people layed off in one day, the rest of us put on 6, 10 hour shifts because it was cheaper to pay us overtime. After about 2 weeks of this we went back to regular shifts painting walls (not kidding about paining walls). This was because there were no contracts in the middle of the year for 2 months. Management doesn't care about their employees. Beware of this place.

Pemco is a maintenence facility. If you need maintenence performed, you can contact the company about getting your plane in, but if you are just looking for storage, this is not the right place for you.
They are a Maintenance and Repair facility. They do Planned Preventive Maintenance on Airbus & Boeing Jets, and do Cargo Conversion Modifications on Boeing 737's, turning passenger planes into Cargo haulers that have too many flight hours to be certified passenger safe. They mainly hire A&P mechanics, Sheet metal workers and Interior workers that strip out carpet and seats. They are in a name transition as they were bought out by a big corporate owner, so try looking under the name Airborne at Tampa Airport.
Pemco Conversions is an ATSG company. ATSG is publicly traded.
