A year ago we bought a house in this community, but I do not recommend it, the houses are terribly poorly built, the guarantee is lousy and the worst thing is there is no respect for nature 😡

Having wanted to purchase a home in the Lakewood Ranch Area for some time prior to retiring. I had researched & visited the area for the past 4 years. I visited many of the new communities and did background checks on the builders. When I originally started looking the Fort Hamer Bridge was not open. Therefore, Parrish, FL was not a viable choice. Once the Fort Hamer Bridge opened it only took 10 minutes to drive into Lakewood Ranch vs the 30 minutes before. Parrish is a hidden treasure. Undeveloped beautiful rural Florida. I had seen Neal Communities before, knowing they built quality & they were local builders. I was inches away from buying a home at INDIGO - Lakewood Ranch. Fortunately, I held back. The Taxes were higher & the annoying CDD Fee really bothered me. Then I found Canoe Creek. Canoe Creek knocked everything off my bucket list. Charming & Tastefully Designed New Community - featuring a beautiful Clubhouse, Gym, stunning Resort Style Pool, Hot Tub, Fire Pit area, outdoor Fire Place, & an Activities Director. I was planning to build a home & wait the 8 months until I saw one of the stock homes. It had 85% of what I wanted in upgrades. It was so tasteful constructed & Neal Community made me an offer I could not pass up. My winter get away to start & a great investment. Being one of the first into a community that will take 3-4 years to build is smart buying. The folks I have met thus far are very nice. People from all over the county. All of us looking to live in charming community. Making new friends & relaxing in warm weather when its nasty cold up in the Northeast. Now I have the best of all worlds. Easy ride into Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota, University Area, Anna Maria Island/Beach, Bradenton, COSTCO, Detwiler's, Tampa, & Tampa Airport. In the next 10 years Parrish, FL will mature into another beautiful Sarasota. Hope to see you soon at Canoe Creek.
