Was misled, argued with, belittled, and cut off. When I tried to make an appointment for getting a stray fixed I was quite literally yelled at and interrupted because the address of this place and the Humane Society is basically the same and it was unclear in prior communication. I tried to clarify my confusion and was spoken to like a misbehaving dog. Weird and gross experience, super recommend just splurging and going to a regular vet if you don't want to be treated like a child. -Addition: after reading some other reviews I can tell that the woman I spoke to has a history of talking to people like this. You guys should seriously consider having anyone else answer the phones-she is mean and unprofessional and clearly has a reputation.

Very nice people. The one thing, they nipped the ears too much, a couple of the cats are still healing the ear after 3 weeks.

FANTASTIC group of people! Easy to get scheduled online and they text back during normal business hours. They will work with you to help spay and neuter kitties. They are on AmazonSmile.com so to help donate to this Charity. Students get firsthand experience. A blessing you all are. They need funding! If you don't tithe to your local church- bless them, they are working to help our neighbors and the lives of our responsiblities to this planet.

Absolutely impressed! So helpful, polite. I took 6 feral cats here, filled out a small form. Dropped em off by 8 am, done by 4 pm, maybe earlier. Just make a donation, online or in person, & your cost is $0. Thank goodness for these people, god bless them

The ear tip requirements is only waived for approved Kitten Shelter Diversion participants. You can learn more about our KSD program at the link below! If the cat does not qualify for our KSD program, then we always require that the cat come in a live humane trap and be ear tipped at the time of surgery to indicate they are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and are safe to be outside! Our Trap-Neuter-Return clinic is only for unowned free-roaming community cats. We recommend the Humane Society of North Central Florida for indoor cats. They can also provide additional services more appropriate for pet cats. https://ocgainesville.org/kitten-shelter-diversion
I had a similar issue. They will lend you traps (deposit required) then you'll bring them in at a specified time/location. Then pick them back up a little later in the day. They will need a little recovery time before being put back in the wild but all in all its a great program. You can donate to help with the program as well.
Next free neutering is January 6. Get one trap for each cat. Must be at least 3 lbs. Reserve your spots and pkp traps Saturday December 29. Each trap requires a $70 deposit, write a ck or use a credit card but it won't be charged unless you don't return the traps.
No. However if you would like a kitten we have 4 that are about a month old. Best to grab them now and hand feed them because in a month or 2 they won't let anyone touch them. They become feral very fast it seems.
I had a cat that was unable to walk about 3-4 weeks after she was spayed there and they seen her.
You can bring as many cats as you can fit in a covered vehicle. (We do not allow the cats to be transported in the open back of a pick up truck.) When making a reservation, let us know how many cats you are able to transport at once, and we can find an available clinic with space to fit them all.
Hi Daniel! Our services are exclusively for free-roaming community cats, and the package includes sterilization, vaccinations, and eartipping. We ask caregivers to donate what they can to help us cover the $50 it costs us to spay-neuter each cat, but payment is not mandatory. Caregivers drop the cats off in the morning at the clinic, and pick them up later that same day! You can schedule on our website at www.ocgainesville.org, or, if the cat is a pet rather than a free-roaming community cat, you can reach out to the Humane Society of North Central Florida for low-cost spay-neuter for pets.
We are donation-based. Caregivers are not required to pay, but rather make a donation. Our costs are $50 per cat, so we ask caregivers to donate what they can to help us cover those costs. Asking everyone for donations ensures that we can continue to offer the services to anyone regardless of their ability to pay. Note that this program is for unonwned, free-roaming community cats only, and as such the cats will need to come in humane live traps and will have their ears tipped. This program is not for pet cats. We recommend reaching out to the Humane Society of North Central Florida for services for pet cats.

Hello Heide, Operation Catnips out of Gainesville, FL might help but you need to trap the cat first or contain her somehow and then call them and set an appointment to bring her in. They'll spay her and then give her back to you then you can release her back to her living area to live out the rest of her days.
Hi Shawna you'll have to go to their website and book an appointment. Here's the link. https://ocgainesville.org/sign-up
Early Spay or Neuter for cats: While you can have a kitten fixed as young as 6 weeks old, the procedure is usually performed when your little one reaches 8 to 12 weeks of age! Kittens need to weigh at least 2 pounds before surgery! Hope it helps! :) You can also call their number to have any other questions answered directly by them to know the exact standard they have. 👍
The Humane Society of North Central Florida has a wellness clinic open on Tuesday and Thursday between 10am-4pm.
They have different times send them an email they will set you up
Next clinic is January 6. Get traps this Saturday December 29
You probably will need to contact your local Humane Society for a similar program. Operation Catnip does a TNR (trap, neuter, release) clinic in Gainesville, FL monthly.
