I just had an absolute horrible experience here. This was my second visit with Tavia to get my hair colored. She was 15 minutes late, then had a very stressful energy & when I explained what I wanted, she gave me attitude & was super rude & I felt very uncomfortable. After 5 minutes of discussion & she just kept being stern & rude to me, treating me like I’m less than her, not as her “elder” or even equal. I would never go to this young stylist with such a negative attitude & she charges more than anyone I’ve ever been to from SF, Mill Valley or LA!!!!! You should be getting top notch services for what they charge here, NOT PURE STRESS!

The Moon Room is legit my safe space. The aesthetic, the people, the products, and the service is beyond out of this world. I don’t know about other people but sometimes when you walk into a salon you can feel a catty vibe but you can tell there’s just genuinely nice people that work here and want you to be happy and feel your best when you’re there and when you leave. Melanie is my girl for my hair every 7 weeks and Melanie and Desiree did mine and my bridesmaids hair and make up for my wedding. They are both amazing women and amazing stylists and cannot recommend both of them and the salon itself enough.

I tend to only write reviews when I’ve had an awful experience but I had to make an exception for Melanie. I have been getting my hair done by Melanie for some time now and I couldn’t be happier with the service and results. Super relaxing experience and environment. I can show Melanie one photo on my phone and she knows what I want and how to make it work for my hair. The organic products she uses have made such a difference in how my hair feels while still keeping it the blonde that I want. Couldn’t recommend Melanie and the Moon Room more. Highly recommend.
