We got seated at the very end almost at the parking lot entrance. The waitress was terrible, service horrible. Waitress brought one dinner first then 20 minutes later she brought my order!! It was the bus boy who asked if we wanted water etc., etc., OVER PRICED, MEDIOCRE FOOD, VERY SMALL PORTIONS, TERRIBLE SERVICE! That pretty much sums it up nicely. I will NOT return.

Probably the best sushi I've had in ages. From the sea bream to the salmon it was beyond exquisite. The front of house could use a little help (they were dragging chairs and tables across the floor for set up as we were eating) but I would definitely come back.

Very unsatisfactory and after reading all the good reviews I don't understand why. Popcorn shrimp handroll was so dry and also tasteless. We had 2 of those. Eggplant appetizer was served so hot it burned my mouth. Please learn to use the microwave correctly. This happened on 2 servings of eggplant. Tuna roll with avocado was bland and the rice was dry, very sticky and tasteless. We had 2. Both not good. Tasted old like it was made early in the morning and served at 7pm. Soft shell crab roll was not spiced and tasted bland. Only good dish was yellowtail sashimi. Tasted fresh and cool. That one dish was good. What a huge disappointment. Especially when dinner for 2 costs well over $100.

We went back to K-ZO post-COVID quarantine and the food was exactly what we were looking for in high quality sushi. They did a great job of separating each of us in small tables outside and had a portable machine that we could dial into for service that reduced the staff's exposure. Super duper recommend if you're by Downtown Culver City.
