The park is nice with various paths. There is a cute park in the main part and areas to sit. It has a bathroom and water fountain capable of filling water bottles. There is a second park and area to have picnics with swings. Lots of open fields and connection to trails like the Bay Trail pictured. It was very pretty. I just with there was an easier way like a raised path to connect to the Bay Trail because we had to take a relatively circuitous path to get there, which required walking on the street.

This is a beautiful park except for the eucalyptus hollow bbq area and the owl ??something bbq area. If you ever decide to reserve a spot there make sure you either Google Earth it or go see it in person.

A little known feature at Baylands Parks is the Wave Walk. The idea for the Wave walk was inspired by the weaving native grasslands in the wind. A fun experience is riding the Wave Walk with a bicycle or even a OneWheel hoverboard. Most trails have a sandy surface and keep going for many miles outside the park along the shoreline over to MountainView and further to Palo Alto airport.

Very well maintained open field park with ample parking and several large picnic areas that can probably accommodate gatherings of over 100 people each. On the water of the Bay with hiking trails to the North and South. Can get a little windy at times.

Thank you all! Yes I went there today, asked at the ranger station, he said I can fly anywhere I want.
Yes, drones are permitted in the park. Most pilots fly over the athletic field. There is a map posted in various places in the park showing where you are allowed to fly and where it is restricted.
no dogs allowed because of wildlife, I have a dog and wish I could bring him to Baylands.
Yup. They are a legal place to fly your drone while still following FAA rules (not over crowds of people, under 400 ft. Etc.). However, almost everytime I go to fly my drone I find several other pilots there also flying their drones or other RC creations, so occasionally the skies get a little crowded. They recently posted a sign saying that there was a certain part of the park you can't fly in, but it was out of line-of-sight range anyways. So shortly: yes you can fly your drone.
If I remember correctly there are signs saying dogs are not allowed. People bring dogs anyway and other people don't seem to bother.
Yes.. some are dirt trails
Dress in layers. It can be boiling hot during the day, but as the afternoon goes on, can suddenly turn super cold and windy.
Yes, definitely. Some parts of the trail are steep, but in general very nice trail to bike.
Yes. They have picnic areas of different sizes. We once had a picnic of 200 ppl there.
Yes but I think using that is difficult. The wether is so hot n u have to bring somethings to fire.
No Definitely no permit you just pay the 6 dollars park entry fee and that's it! Enjoy the park :)
Electric R/C planes, helicopters, and quads fly here regularly
the answer is no pets. some local folks who walk into the park do pass through with dogs on a walk on leash. you cannot drive in with pets, as it it a protected habitate.
Great place for walk as well as relaxing
Under California law, an e-bike is essentially treated the same as a standard bicycle
Site says one hour after sunset.
Yes you can , I fly in the feild a few times a week , you will see signs saying you cannot fly over the marshlands. So just stay in the feild and you will be OK.
I believe you do.
If you only have seniors in your car, it wouldn't hurt to ask!
