Aesthetic wise there's lots of trash and disguarded items in lot. Trash cans are over flowing and don't seem maintained. However the parking itself was legit. Quite. Semi busy lot. No cameras. No security. No fee. Stayed over night two nights in Van conversion. 2 or 3 other vehicles with people sleeping overnight as well.

Park here and take public transportation into downtown L.A. for $1.50. So much cheaper than paying for parking.

It used to be great, no issues with finding a spot. Now the high school students have been parking here en mass, so us commuters are no longer able to find a spot.

Many people park there and I've never had an issue leaving my car there over night. I do make sure to park close to the entrances/exits and under a light though. You can also drop off items to donate to Goodwill here because they have a truck that is always parked there for donations.

I think the closest train station is Highland Park Station
In theory you could take the 181, but you'd have to walk about a mile and a half from the drop off point in Hollywood. But a stop for the 181 is across the street from the Park and Ride to go to the Hollywood area.
To park? Parking is free. For the buses it's cash or TAP card.
