I've been coming here for 25 years and there's good reason for that. They have a great staff, awesome popcorn, and it's clean. Over the years it's only gotten better with the upgrades to the seating and free slushy refills, that my daughter can't get enough of. As a family of 3 the prices are very reasonable and i prefer york theatre over all the big name venues.

If you are looking for a clean chill and cheap ticket price theatre, this is the one! The bathrooms are always clean, the theatre rooms are always clean, they have good sound and recliner seats. The popcorn and nachos are so good! That’s one of the reasons I always like coming here. And the prices are lower than other places.

I've hosted several birthday parties and scouting events at the York Theatre over the years. I recently had an excellent experience with Alex and team! From booking to the day of the event, he made everything so easy. The staff was so wonderful with a girl scout group of 22 wild 7 year old girls. They efficiently passed popcorn and drinks and started our movie on time. The cost was incredibly reasonable as well.
Been There
First off, this is about the theater, not some of the terrible movies that have recently been released. 😅 ■Park on the street or in the parking garage. The parking garages recently changed from FREE 3hr parking to FREE 4hr parking (but please read as some signs around town are 3hr). This is perfect for those lengthy movies. ■Nice interior, free popcorn and soda refills. ■Each room is equipped with reclining chairs that can be heated! Cup holder on both arm rests. ■One room has a massive screen, my favorite, and the seating rows have plenty of room to get up if needed and walk unhindered. ■It's clean, lit well enough for a theater showing movies (that means its kinda dark, still watch your step 🤓).
