It has been converted to a sro residential hotel first off. Second, Eric Morales led me to believe there was availability in one of their many residencies. After 2 months he stated he has no voice nor authority thus my ongoing interactions were a waste of time. Again, just like APLA, GLBQXYZ Center, Skid Row Housing, Being Alive they get ALL your information plug it in their data base as every body is a $$$ sign. When it comes around to getting $$$ from the city, state, federal and that other 2%of investors that's all they are concerned about. Don't waste you time or energy.

Run far away from this place and this street!!! Not where you wanna be. Terrible Terrible. This is not anywhere to take children or families.

It's what it's. I think it gotten worse. The main doors are broken and it's just a place to get by until one can do better with their living condition. I think the staff need to be more valuable of their job. They show no sympathy towards the guest or tenant. To some it's just a pay check and a way of livelihood.

Its warm inside in the dead of winter. The wooden bed is softer than the street which you forget about in the privacy of your own room. Not many places can turn the feeling of hopelessness into gratitude. Five stars for this place not for how it is, but what it does. Five stars not for what it features, but for what it means. Those who have passed through "The Russ" as we call it, may not talk about it but The Russ is always close to our hearts.
