For all my fellow people of color who are visiting the country. If you want somewhere to got where their is a low chance you will be called the hard r, this is the place to go. The 86 year old owner with zero health conditions cooks everything herself. Everybody is extremely friendly. And the food is delicious.

We had been here once before and enjoyed the experience, the food and waitress were both fantastic, at that time. This visit, not so much enjoyable. The waitress acted as though we were imposing on her day. My husbands omelet was very thin, my scrambled eggs, sausage and grits were fine, but overall it was the waitress that ruined the experience. She barely spoke and when we asked for anything, she put it on the table and quickly walked away, without a word. We sat waiting, after we asked for the check, if she stated we were to go to the desk, it was during one of her mumbled phrases. After 10 minutes of waiting at the table, then asking again, she said "you need to go to the register". Needless to say, we will not be going back. One bad waitress can spoil any meal.
