Historical interpretative sign gives some history to the area developed by Mr Cook. Also relates the similarities between Denver and Nairobi, sister cities. There is a graffiti and hippopotamus there to. Chech out the view of the mountains.

If you are black and park your vehicle here they will throw things at your car. I parked here to get some shade a Mexican couple pulled behind me. They sat there with their child and I started hearing things hitting the top of my roof. I was under a tree so I thought it was coming from the tree. The couple left and all of a sudden there was nothing hitting my roof. Another thing someone around this park has a phone jamming device. My phone worked until I guess someone noticed me minding my business and then it kept freezing or not simply didn't get a signal. To test my theory I drove 2 blocks away and suddenly my phone worked. Yep my taxes are paying for a public park that people of my color aren't welcomed at !
