We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a 2 week road trip. We’ve previously stayed at a Colorado State campground and from our experience they are all very well taken care of and clean. Our campsite was very spacious and private as our door was pointed towards the exterior of our loop. The campground is also conveniently located 20-25 min from downtown Denver. We would definitely return if we are in the area.

We really enjoyed Cherry Creek SP, we did a home on one day mostly across the Dam and back as well as a 13 mile bike ride around the park. I think that the sites are very level, we stayed in the Pioneer loop with power and sewer. We will come back next time we have more time. A bit disappointed with the lake, it had green slime on the shore line, one day and the next it was gone, not sure what kind of algae it was but would not go in with an open cut or wound for sure.

10/31/21 - it was cold. Nice place, around the city. It has a lot of entrance. Almost all trees leaves are gone. Great place to fish, walk, bike, etc…..mostly during summer even swimming. Right now it’s quiet, you will mainly bird sounds. Pelicans and seagulls are together in one area.

A beautiful state park in Denver. Especially beautiful in the fall when the trees are changing. The walking/cycling trails are really relaxing to take, and the beach is nice. The lake is cool as well, and is a good place for paddle-boarding and sailing. I’ve never camped here but the campgrounds look nice, especially for cookout style camping. Forsure a great little spot to try out if you live in Denver or are just visiting

I'm sorry I haven't camped here in a while. If k remember correctly it's check out by 12:00 and In after 4:00. Last time I was up there, they didn't have camp hosts doing check in/out they just had a small sheet of paper for it on a bulletin board. Better instructions are sent in the reservation email though.
Yes.
Yes. You can rent a boat at cherry creek lake. Contact the marina.
You have to go to dog park not regular beach. Fee for dog park
It's cheaper to just get the yearly pass & it goes to keep park clean & safe thanx
I see people smoking all the time and I've never seen a no smoking sign. So I guess it's ok.
