I stood up to go to the restroom and they threw away half my pizza. The pizza cost $27 and was just 4 slices, though they were pretty hearty. They offered to give me a free slice but there weren't any that fit what I had ordered. Generally nice service but not great to have $13 of pizza wasted.

Delicious “Detroit-style” pizza! Light, not heavy. Fresh and creative toppings. They serve yummy green salads. Desserts include a variety of creamy cheesecake. Joyride YBG is located on the promenade level with a beautiful view of the variety of architecture styles in Yerba Buena Gardens. Love (!!!) the veggie pizza with mushrooms and sliced Brussel sprouts! The meat lovers slice with sausage and pepperoni is also super yummy! For veg, I also had the green salad with the olives, jalapeños, mini tomatoes and red onions. Dessert was Snickerdoodle cheesecake. My friend got the Neapolitan cheesecake. All good! Alistair, the co-owner, is a pizza consultant from Kauai, Hawaii who is is venturing into the pizza restaurant business. I definitely felt like part of his “ ohana”(family) - super friendly vibe. This restaurant is a pizzeria with “Aloha” spirit!

Top-notch service and top-notch food. Detroit style pesto pizza 🔥. And the salad? Who the hell knew you could be so impressed by a salad. A definite go-backer!

We went during the Pandemic, so it's hard to tell if the tea selection was limited due to that or it's like that normally. The mezze platter was a great snack. It's a great Sunday afternoon outing especially if you're seated outside with views of the Gardens.
