I'm a hiking tour guide in the Palm Springs area. This is one of the trails I take people on as part of the Garstin Loop hike. You can find me by searching @trailahead

The Google maps directions take you to a private property and there is no actual hiking trail at this location.

Hiked up Earl Henderson to Shannon to Berns and came back on the Gerstin trail, 3.6 miles with a 1000 ft gain, great hike!

No - no water at all. Try Tahquitz Canyon Trail - west end of Mesquite

All hiking trails on State and National Forest land are free. if you hike in the Indian Canyons there is a fee. As of Saturday the Indian Canyons were still closed because of damage due to last months flooding.

are dogs allowed on this trail?
