Either Dairy Queen has gotten a lot more expensive in the past couple years where I haven't been able to visit, or this location is just excessive in price gouging. We had food in the car and weren't even incredibly hungry, but were about to part way with friends after a long weekend camping in Mojave, so we figured it would be nice to grab some greasy food and ice-cream to celebrate an active weekend and say our goodbyes. As we were ordering I noticed that the prices were no where near what I was used to, but I was hoping that the combo prices would mitigate a bit of the ice cream cost. In the end I was shocked to be spending $35 to get a burger, chicken basket and single medium blizzard from Dairy Queen... The A1 burger I got was pretty good, though was definitely dry if I am going to start comparing it to $12 restaurant burgers as the price suggests I should. The chicken strips were pretty small, but the portion of fries was good and we did enjoy those. The blizzard hit the spot as always, so no complaints on that end, except for the fact that it cost $10 which could grab me a couple gallons of ice cream at the grocery store. I will certainly never be stopping by this location in Baker again, and will have trouble justifying a visit to any other DQ for a while. Just know if you are desperate to stop here in the middle of nowhere, you will pay for it! But if you can stand to wait, I would definitely recommend you do so.

Very crowded during our visit. Long line and wait for food. Understaffed. The cashier was having to split time between taking orders and making them. Noted other people's food came out piecemeal which slowed the process. Also they were out of chocolate ice cream. And when the choices are vanilla ice cream, chocolate ice cream and vanilla swirled with chocolate, That's a bit of a problem. If you're craving ice cream in the middle of the desert and it's 105° out, who am I to say Don't stop in here. But if you can curb your craving till you get to Las Vegas or back to Southern California that might be the better option.... Just saying....

Ordered a blizzard with a fudge core, was charged for it. But there was no fudge in it.. Chicken strips were piping hot and fresh though so that's always plus! Edit: Almost forgot to say, they did look like they were shorthanded. Because a lot of the tables were dirty, and no one was cleaning them..

2 combo meals and 1 large blizzard are over $30 with the blizzards STARTING at $7 and the burgers alone STARTING at $9. The menu is misleading in not labeling Combo prices vs Burger only prices. Substitutions for onion rings instead of fries are $1 extra but the menu does NOT tell you that price. The price jackup is very real at this location, and for what you get out of it I can honestly say its not worth the price and the name "Dairy Queen" compared to pricing at other CA/NV locations. If you're driving to/from Las Vegas please go to one there or in Barstow. Food quality was average. Fries were dry, cheese on burgers was aged fron a supermarket, but the soda and Blizzard was not bad. Drive through has signage and windows but is closed.
