I toured the mill in 78 after I had moved to Hydesville to live with my sister while I looked for a job. Needless to say there wasn't too many jobs available. I was putting my name on a list at a local pulp mill. After about 3 months of no job I left to go home to Carlsbad, California. Two days after I left, the mill called to offer me a job. I did tour the saw mill when it was fully operational. It was amazing how they could squeak out every piece of lumber from a tree.

I used to work at mill b about 30 years ago and I still miss the old mill I started out as a clean up man than moved on from there I ended up at the fortuna mill because of a accident it will always be the lumber mill I enjoyed working for glad it hasn't changed .

Scotia is a small, sunny mill town. Almost like you're in the past. Awesome!
