Family stayed there and the first greeting, was the rudest man he had nothing nice to say at all Especially when he started talking about residents who lived here and some information that shouldn't be given out to strangers (HIPPA violation). I would not recommend and my family will NEVER stay again.

Easy access near 101 but no road noise.. Good for big rigs. Looks unkempt and old fashioned- it is. However, it was great for us. Butch met us in his golf-cart (& dog Bailey). Pull through sites for us and friends in same size RV. Old park with many permanent regulars who were all friendly. Really quirky, interesting campground to walk around and enjoy amazing old, huge trees. On our site the water we connected to was brown - we think from rust, useable but not attractive. Our power 30 amp only which worked fine. Cell was decent,2/3 bars, we're on Verizon. We don't use site showers/restrooms but looked in via coded entrance, very dated, expect old facilities, this might lower our star-rating if we needed to use them I guess. We felt that we'd had a good value time discovering this little gem with awesome big trees and one particular extraordinary house built by hand in a 1200 y.o.stump. Great dog friendly stop over. Olde worldy❣️

The good: Very cute tree house for rent, cute little cabins to rent, very close to avenue of the giants. Near by town of Fortuna has essentials. The back of the park is for short stays, it’s descent enough. The tent area looked really nice. The not so good: front of park very run down, lots of long termers. The short stay sites are set up very weird. Very close to your neighbors. Husband used shower one night, said it was very tight. There were people camping in cars all around, felt creepy. They were in & out of bathrooms all day & night. There’s no sewage, but there’s a dump, you’ll block whole road to use it. There’s 2 washers & 2 dryers, very old, didn’t use them. It was what was available so it was what we had to go with. Seeing the redwoods on the avenue of the giants made it worth it, but we won’t stay again if we’re back in the area.

The tent camping area is very nice, all of the spots I saw while there were tucked into redwood trees. Great staff
