It’s easy to book (very important)and well equipped. The view by the lake is great too!

Sites 69 to 73 has lake view. Over all a nice place with good trails around them. Not very far from city but still peaceful. Though wish the bathrooms were more spread out for easier accessibility. Parking is free for the lake below for anyone camping but you need to drive down

A wonderful campground in the heart of the city. Very hilly. Lots of challenging hikes. No swimming. AT&T worked great. Our site had full hookups. Saw wild turkeys every morning.

Yes
The campgrounds are open for reservation only. You must make them online and they usually do not have same day available. There are two campsites, one with hookups and one without that it may show online is available but in actuality you're not allowed to book them because they are ADA sites. Also they have a dump and fill up station that is open during business hours for $20
It charges per campsite. But there is a limit of how many people per site. One car per site. Additional cars have to pay.
Approx $300 for 15 days. around $20 a night. The camp site is well worth it. Have warm showers and decent facilities. Close to great hiking. Just beware of ticks and to check regularly
Dogs are allowed at campground only in developed areas and must be on leash no longer than 6 ft. No agressive dogs or dogs that bark all the time. All dogs must be kept inside at night. Theres a $2 fee per dog per night. Service animals are free.
You just have to register in your partners name after the first 15 days nbd
Tent only (hike in) $25. Drive in no hookups $27. Full hookups $39.
Yes. The lake is stocked and fishing is allowed with a fishing license.
Yes...in some places it is very strong
They have plumbing toilets and showers. Certain areas have portables, I believe the group camping is port o potty
they have day sites. Well they did last time I was there
No, this is a county run campground
Yes they can and I think up to 30 days in advance
Not sure, I doubt it. There's absolutely no staff on site. I would call ebparks
There is no public transit options from the campground, lyft and uber are both unreliable at best. Your best bet is to drive your car (or rv) to bart in castro valley, then bart in from there. Warning: large vehicles occupying more than one parking space at bart will be ticketed, so consider parking your rv on a residential side street nearby.
Several months in advance. Whatever is open online in their booking website you can reserve
Yes. They have both 30 and 50 amp available.
That is a really good question best I could tell you is to call.and ask. (888) 327-2757
You could get thru the gate with no reg. But the park police are in the bored side of the night shift and are very aware of all vehicles traveling to and fro the campgrounds .
Check the east bay regional parks web site for all the info.
There is no swimming in Lake Chabot. The campground actually sits above the lake looking over it. You can hike down there but you cannot go in.
