Nice hotel on base, RV park, marina, golf course, PX, gas station and dining establishments. Beautiful location on Tampa Bay. Open to active and former/retired military. Need appropriate ID to enter main gate.

Base commander is a j@ck @$$. He let'shis people run around with out of date license plates. This causes higher insurance for the rest of us.

Went on this Air Force base for the first time with my retired marine uncle and it was nice mini city! It’s a huge military base with a mall, grocery store, marina, beach, golf course, parks, and camper area. I personally went shopping for a new athletic white shirt to replace my old shirt that was wore out and got lunch in the food court area. I love the no taxes on shopping. Food - subway, Charley’s Philly Steak, Taco Bell and chicken slims. I would prefer a healthy option like chipotle or Zoe’s kitchen in the food court. In the express shopping area do have a fitting room in the back near the kids section. In the exchange area you have under amour, Adidas, Columbia and vineyard vines. Relaxing spots- parks, golf courses, and nice walking path. If you visit please check out the beach because it’s beautiful and nice. Overall, if you have a military connection or are military this is a must visit military base.

I’ve been to the Airshow the last few years and it just keeps getting better. They’ve started to add a bit of drama with a simulated bomb, smoke and fire. Dramatic stuff! The amount of planes is off the chart and the years that span history are even more incredible. Depending on the year, the Blue Angels are always a super cool treat!! There isn’t just a show and planes to tour on the tarmac but to walk through the stages areas is also a great way to meet military personnel and to ask questions. All in all it’s pretty amazing and ok for just about every age. Might want to bring earplugs or headphones for the kiddos!

Go to the closest military installation.
Depends on the ID and whom issues the ID. I would ask the individual that issued it to you.
Yes vets with valid i.d.s are welcome on base kind of like retirees. Just be aware they scan i.d.s. Thanks for your service sir!
Military records are in St. Louis. A local VA rep.or VFW may be able to lend assistance as well. If you have your father's DD214, that would help a lot.
Do they sell Itunes cards or phones? Is like general store or just food
