Very nice cabin, in the heart of Helen, Ga. Road and driveway are steep, but it will accommodate a full size pickup. Cabin was spotless, and cozy. Will be on our list of places to come back too.

The best customer service ever! The girls in the office go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and always try to make your stay a pleasant one. The cabins have always been clean and homey. We love it and we will be back! Already made reservations for our next trip. Thank you Mountain View Cabins

Cabin 13: Spent 6 nights here (March 19-25) - this is their off season. Arrived Saturday afternoon. No concerns with checking in. Spent the first 2 days very cold (our fault for not asking questions sooner), then found out Monday that what we thought was a window AC unit was a heater too! Cabin was clean, 2 burner stove top, full fridge. Very basic cooking supplies (we will bring our own next time). SMALL hot water tank - maybe a 4 min shower, IF you were lucky and hadn't been running hot water before hand. Cabin is just off the main road for the Cherohala skyway. This is a very busy motorcycle route. But, if you are spending time in the Cherokee Nat'l Forest, you can't beat the location. Trout coffee is fantastic as is the bakery in tellico. Cabin has an amazing hot tub where you can relax listening to the river and gazing at the stars. I would love to see the owners add a tankless hot water heater. After hiking all day, a nice hot shower would be a good thing. Check out was tricky. $50 returnable deposit needed to be left for hot tub. We left at 0900 and office didn't open until 10. No significant issue, we went into town for breakfast and then came back and got the deposit back. Ironworks grill is down the road a piece as well as the Tellico Beach Grill - great sweet tea! Stop into Museum Marketplace! Buck Bald is a must for anyone looking for an amazing panoramic view.

Perfect stay! We had a large family gathering and stayed in the new Tellico River Retreat cabin. The pictures don't do it justice. The cabin was beautiful and clean. There was plenty of room for the entire extended family. Great living space and kitchen upstairs and a fun game room downstairs. Each room having its own bathroom. I can't wait to go back.

There was some road noise, but definitely not enough for us to not be satisfied and uncomfortable! This is a "biker area" especially during beautiful weekends so we attributed most of the noise to the other guests (whom were super nice to us and our kids & courteous of the times they came in and went out). We stayed in the Longhorn cabin and it was extremely clean and well maintained.

You need to call them, the last time I talked with management they did but you had to pay extra.
The Riverview building sits along the Tellico river. Back porch runs the length of the building.
