I always go to this bank located at market st. today I went there to get some change for business, but the teller was a black guy. he was angry an very disrespectful. the manager was there but she didn't care and also she didn't say anything. I don't come back to this location because the tellers are very rude.

I have contacted Wells Fargo a total of six times trying to redeem a Wells Fargo CD in its grace period to my Wells Fargo Checking account. The first three times I sent a secure email and every response was the same..."Go here to get a form that has to be notarized so you can take your CD OUT OF ITS GRACE PERIOD" My message clearly said I was IN THE GRACE PERIOD so I gave up because no one is obviously reading the whole email message. So I call and after 25 minutes on hold I finally speak to someone. They ask for all the information and I explain my situation. The rep asked if I could be put on a brief hold so he could speak to his supervisor" 30 minutes on hold....The rep comes back and tells me he can't help me but will transfer me to the right department. I wait on hold again...The automated message tells me I have reached The US Treasury Department. ARE YOU KIDDING ME.... I call Wells Fargo AGAIN another 20 minute wait. I explain my request again...She asks me to hold on and comes back in 15 minutes and says I'm all set. Great! NO! It's been 7 days and the CD is still active on my account and the money was not transferred to my checking account. I call back for the third time 7 days later. Wait 30 minutes...Talk to a rep who says can I put you on hold I have to talk to my supervisor. Another 15 minutes goes by and she comes back and tells me it has not been transferred and the department that handles this just left (3pm on Saturday). and asks can you call back Monday? I have never seen a more incompetent, systemically dysfunctional company in my life. You should be embarrassed. If I treated my customers this way I would be fired on the spot. The other irony is you can easily setup a CD online but there is no way to deposit the funds when they come due...Even to a Wells Fargo checking/savings/account. Ridicules...Don't bank here.

I would like to know why Wells Fargo does not care about their customers. I feel like going to the closest branch and closing my accounts. I received a check from a business. Verified with my own eyes the account they wrote it from had the money available. I have cashed checks from this company twice a month for a long time. All of a sudden, after clearing the funds in my account, they just decided to put a 7 day hold on the check and put my account into the red. You see, the money they paid me this time - most went to them re-paying me for an expense and the rest my labor fee. I am not rich (another reason WF doesn't care about me) so when I take a hit like that - taking back money that already cleared - it hurts. I called the customer service number. They educated me that they are essentially powerless at all functions related to banking. They kept telling me to go to a branch. Of course this was after branch hours so... With my new knowledge that the phone support cannot help ever with anything, I went to speak with my local banker. Waited a long time to see the only banker at the branch and they educated me that THEY were powerless to even discuss check holds with the powers that be. I looked up why WF puts these holds on checks, and the internet says because: 1. you bounce may checks (I DON'T) 2. They suspect fraud (REGULARLY PAID FROM THEM) 3. Over $5K (NOT THE CASE) 4. Redeposited checks (ALSO NOT THE CASE) 5. New Accounts (AGAIN NOT THE CASE) 6. If they feel the check will not be paid (I SAW THEIR BALANCE THE DAY I DEPOSITED THE CHECK - IT WAS IN EXCESS OF $40K DOLLARS AND MY CHECK WAS MUCH MUCH MUCH LESS). So ... okay ... why the hold? Who knows! Nobody will tell me. I know that obviously WF is not 1% concerned with you or your ability to live. As soon as the balance situation is fixed, it's "Goodbye, Wells Fargo", hello "Any Other Bank". This is a common thing with them. They steal from you.

Wells Fargo has gotten a bad wrap lately. For the most part, my experience has been generally positive. They helped me get back on my feet years ago with their "Opportunity Checking" account. While not perfect, I can say that it has been the most trouble free banking experience I've had. I've tried a couple of the other banks with big names but none has taken a personal interest in my financial wellbeing as WF has. Perhaps I'm just lucky but I haven't had any major problems. I'm glad I made the choice to bank there years ago. As long as it's not broken, I'm not going to tinker with it.

I do not work for Wells Fargo. However, they do have a number you can call to report suspected fraud or fraudulent activity. The number may be found at www.wellsfargo.com
