Got plums from market. Best I've ever had. Firm and sweet. It's hard to get no rotten produce during this Recession. I will revisit. Plums were 4 for $1.

Great little market! Not too big, not too small. So much of the produce was priced so low it blew my mind! Lots of cool little shops to check out. I didn’t get a chance to stop in the museum but will have to if I’m ever there again visiting.

Best city market in Kansas City! Always something to see! Great place to buy fruits and vegetables and spices! Different food from all different cultures. Great place to buy honey and fresh flowers!

SUCH A GREAT WEEKEND EXPERIENCE! I really enjoyed how lively this entire area was. The vendors included, organic foods, honey, plants, crafts, and much more. The entire complex is comprised of semi-enclosed areas, open areas, stands, etc. I experienced a street performer playing the trumpet while I was there. There is a "City Market" installation which acts as a great photo opportunity. PARKING TIP: The parking garage at the Crown Center is free on weekends and so is the nice rail ride that takes you directly to the entrance of the City Market.

The is an Asian supermarket behind the city market. But the City Market is a collection of local vendors with different goods, including fruits, vegetables, homemade soaps, etc..
Yes, but you can't just show up randomly and set up shop. Go to the thecitymarket.org and click 'Become a Vendor' for all the specifics.
Flea market on the weekends.
Yes you may, the farmers come from near and far and have vegetables I have never seen before. Saturday and Sundays ir the days the farmers come down.
We saw a few but wouldn't say it's common knowledge that you can bring them. It's fairly crowded weekend mornings and wouldn't recommend it if your dog's are at all skittish, shy, or not well-trained!
Saturday morning will have the most vendors and activity.
Yes for sure... Also doing higher exchange rate for fruits and veggies. Doubles your stamps up to $25 if I remember correctly.
Google it should be able to get some
I will ask and get right back to you.
Sometimes but you have to get there early
During the week there are stores open for fruits, veggies, restaurants, seasonings, museum, antiques, candy, and a few stores. I dont recall seeing the independant venders in the parking lot outside of weekends ever before though.
There are scooters close to the free parking, which is not very close to the market.
Not that I remember. They do mostly seasonal fruits and vegetables, so peaches wouldn't be an option until next summer.
Around halloween
Not as many fruit and vegetable venders in the middle sections, but the outer wall shops are open. Last time I went on a Sunday, we went early and there were some garage sale type venders there as well.
Yes and although you can go to the market main building and get two for 1ebt credits up to $40 at the kiosk inside, I don't think the in line vendors accept them. Only the seasonal vendors take the credit tokens the office will give you at that kiosk.
Yes
Yes
Free parking on Saturdays in select lots outside and around the market. Paid parking varies in the same lots as well as street parking on weekdays.
Yes the deli is open and GO THERE AND GET YOURSELF A CANNOLI YOU WILL LOVE IT
The china market just outside of the main square sells fresh whole, frozen, and live
No not quite sure
Not all of the shops, but most are open 6 days a week Monday they are most close
I googled that info
Yes! There was a great crowd today, and plenty of vendors. There was a giant inflatable slide for the kids also, which my 5 year old enjoyed. One more thing, if you like fresh homemade salsa you really should sample Rose's while t you're there!
Is the farmer market open during week day or it’s only Saturday and Sunday?
Technically, River Market is the neighborhood, and the City Market is specifically the square of business and the farmer's market between 3rd and 5th Streets and Grand and Main Streets, which is owned and leassed out by a single company. Most people use the terms interchangeably in casual conversation.
Looking for fresh or frozen sardines
Park at Union Station and you just pay $5 to park. and then you can ride the streetcar all the way down to the city market and stop it all the cool stops and then ride it all the way back to your car it's fun.
Possibly 10:00am to 4:00pm
I'm not sure. Every time I go, they usually have flowers for sale. Really pretty choices
There are farms around if your trying to feed or pet some..otherwise the health foos stores sell them to eat..like sprouts.
It's Tikka House.
Beginning in November the market is open Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Okay, I will love to have some. Can you text me first thing tomorrow morning if some are down there at the market when the farmers come in the morning.
Yes
When you said you did not think so, did you mean you did not think it would be worth the trip? Or 2.. Some fresh produce venders will be there? Sorry it was a confusing question.
I didn't see any. But i wasn't looking either.
i honestly didnt see any but perhaps the asian market on 3rd and grand would have what you ask for.... but honestly we are in missouri, how fresh can the oysters really be?
