I was looking for items such as fresh, organic astragalus root, turmeric root, vanilla beans... I have found the Turmeric and the ginger root at Sprouts and Wholefoods before but is there a place around the area that I can find these and plants

Yes you may, the farmers come from near and far and have vegetables I have never seen before. Saturday and Sundays ir the days the farmers come down.

Yes go to the farmers market which is located at the city market and they have a fresh spices store where you can go and get just about anything you need and it is so affordable
