Cyndie is an absolute master of customer service. She addressed an irate and completely unreasonable customer in front of me with calm, grace and professionalism. When it was my turn, she treated me like I was the first customer of the day and immediately fixed The issue I came in for. This is the kind of service oriented professional that retains customers and strengthens brands. I sure hope the company gives her due praise.

This is the worst car rental service I ever came across. They have absolutely no capacity in thinking along with their clients. Long story short: I am here with my girlfriend because she will be following a 3 months long rehab program for her spinal cord injury. We came al the way from The Netherlands and we arrived last Friday. Last Saturday we were planning to rent a car at Avis / Budget. Unfortunately, they didn’t had any cars available so we went back to the hotel. Right after we arrived at the hotel I realized that I lost my wallet with all my cards and driving license inside the Uber. I called the driver but it I was already too late. Someone grabbed it. My girlfriend is in a wheelchair so without a car we are not able to travel long distances / to the rehab facility. I did everything in my power to collect important documents for a car rental including a police report, a copy of my driving license and a document from The Netherlands that is digitally certified and signed with a verifiable digital signature by the Dutch Vehicle Autority. Even though Avis / Budget didn't want to even think of helping us out! We're so so disappointed in your service(!!!)

I got a car with a damaged tire. They declined to change it or fix it. Roadside assistance was useless, they declined to help because my driving license does not have a state on it. There is none, as it’s not from the US. I have no idea what would have happened if I don’t notice the damaged tire and it blows up in the middle of nowhere. I understand many things, putting your customers’ lives in danger is not one of those.

The customer service agent was very helpful. The service counter at Palomar Airport had no line. Additionally, the service agent upgraded me for free to a mustang. All the preceding are great. However, the quality of choices of vehicles were limited, and there was no owner handbook in the car to assist a new driver in dealing with all the features in the mustang, such as the back windows, which don't always roll all the way up. So, I would very likely recommend Avis for customer service and efficiency of service, but not choices of cars.

No Airline ticket required to rent from this AVIS location. They are not located behind security. Walk right up :)
