It's the typical 5 day free primitive camping area with eight sites and a vaultroom. No trash or water. The usual menagerie of outdoor bugs. There are no picnic tables for your dining comfort. And a couple of sites do not have a fire pit for roasting your marshmallows. Cell service is commendable for a canyon. A narrow one lane road continues down to some trails. Two sites are closer to the water but the sand flies look bothersome. An unexpected blustery wind came through around midnight and blew tree branches down and around. A consideration if your in a tent. It is bear and mt. lion country, so pack it up.

So beautiful. Nice clean pit toilets. Informative signage. Limit 5 nights. Can't wait to go back.

Beautiful scenery, did a little bushcraft over night camp. Would like more trees to block the wind but I fell asleep to the sound of the river and slept like a baby.

We camped here the night before going on the tongue river trail. Great place for that, as it is a two minute drive to the trailhead. It is right off the road and the tongue river was right across the dirt road. The river's sound was nice and soothing when it came time to fall asleep. The bathroom facilities and place to throw away your trash were an unexpected plus. Be sure to bring your own toilet paper and come with either water or a water filter, as there is no running water.
