I left an incredibly unprofessional salon and came to Studio 39. I went from a Pinto to a Mercedes! The previous stylist wasn't as good as I thought she was...because I never met anybody as competent as Sierra! She was so kind and considerate. She is extremely competent at what she does....a true expert. I got the BEST HAIRCUT I ever had. I am so grateful I got kicked out of that rude salon and found a real place that is professional and makes me feel amazing!

Emily has shown me how to love my natural curls. My hair has gotten curlier the last few years. I was tired of fighting frizzies after blow drying my hair and this fall I decided to embrace my curls. My first appointment was almost 2 hours as she examined my curls in their natural state, gave me a dry cut to follow the natural curl in my hair and showed me how to wash, add product and style my curls with clip placement and a diffuser. She thoroughly wanted me to be happy with my hair. I just had my 3rd cut & style with her. If you have curly hair, she will guide you through the invaluable process of caring for your curls.

I have been going to Studio 39 Salon for the last 6 years that I have lived in Kansas City. Megan always does a PERFECT job on my long hair with highlights and cut. She always gives the best tips. I love that whenever my roots grow out after getting my highlights done, it looks so natural. I always get compliments. Even when I moved 3 hours away a couple years ago, I would still continue to get my hair done here. She is the only girl I trust! They have a wonderful atmosphere and everyone is always so nice.

Hi there! Yes we do. You can learn more on our website at www.studio39salon.com on our keratin treatment page. We use a brand that's organic and legit formaldehyde free so it's a healthiest version of all the smoothing treatments we've used. That's important for hair health long term, plus it gets great results! We recommend a consultation for price accuracy, but generally they start at $200. Like all of our services, cost is determined on the time and product required based on an individual's hair thickness and length. Everyone that has had our treatment loves it compared to other brands. This is by far our favorite as well. We have used many keratin brands through the years but have chosen this because of the quality and its ability to achieve frizz free hair. Hope this info helps!

Hi Megan. That depends on your natural hair level and whether you have previous color on hair. If you're a natural blonde - yes that's possible. We could do highlights with high lift color, but it would take regular visits over time to achieve if bleach was not an option. I recommend using gentle lightener ( bleach) as it processes more quickly. Successful color is combination of many factors and blonde is our specialty. If you only want it a few shades lighter color may be enough but there are lots of safe bleaches that don't damage the hair if the colorist is knowledgeable. The best way to see is to set up a color consult. There is $25 fee but it's applied to future service. We have a wealth of information on our website about color. The more complex the situation is can reflect price. We can do about anything with color but always make hair health a priority. Hope this info helps!
Good question and thank you for asking! For those that prefer wearing natural styles we do curly cuts. For smoothing treatments we've replaced traditional relaxers with keratin treatments. We have different types for different hair needs. Some smooth to ease the appearance of frizz, some can overall relax texture. We also do blow-dry styles, flatiron and wand work for all types of hair. For more complex iron styles and/or types of braiding- we are limited. We've found all hair is unique to each individual. When it comes to chemical work and most styling and cutting, yes we do. On more specific styling.. it depends. We always recommend a consultation with any new salon to get to know the salon & a stylist so you feel comfortable in their ability before booking. 😊
It's not recommended. You are always guaranteed with a reservation otherwise they will compensate some way for the inconvenience if it's at their fault.
