I debated posting this review because I never post bad reviews about salons but if it can help someone…. I went to get my hair glossed and cut a week before my wedding because of all the great reviews this salon has. Rachel was nice but does not know how to cut thick wavy hair. I asked for a simple long bob with a couple layers. When I left the salon my hair was a frizzy mess and I could not tell how bad the cut was until I went home and washed and restyled it. It was there I noticed just how uneven and lopsided my hair was. There were way too many layers and when she “thinned” my hair it ended up looking like thin dead ends on the bottom. I also debated going back to have it fixed but the only way to fix the thin ends would have been to cut it way shorter than I wanted. I would recommend making sure you go to a stylist that has experience with all types of hair. Attached is what I asked for vs what I got.

Molly and Rachel absolutely saved my hair! After getting a terrible coloring job at a different salon, they got me in the next day with no fuss or hassle and gave me a renewed color. They listened to what I wanted and made sure to give me a style that would be low maintenance but still allow me the freedom to experiment with vibrant colors in the future if I want. I will definitely be coming back!

WOW!!! (Yes, in all caps!) That's what both my husband and children said to me when I got home from my first visit with Rachel Lay. She transformed my cardboard colored hair into a dimensional and beautiful fusion of caramel, dark blonde and light blonde strands with her mastered balayage technique. She also showed me incredible tricks (that worked) to bring curls to my naturally straight hair. I can't express how thankful I am to find a salon near me, but also to find a stylist who is so kindhearted, visionary, good at what they do and simply a delight to work with!

Jillian exceeded all my expectations! After moving to KC over a year ago I can finally say I’ve found the perfect hairdresser for me. The salon itself is clean, has a great vibe and sells some really cute items. All around awesome ❤️
