Since the area has pretty limited options, the gym does fit the bill in a lot of areas. However, there’s some room for growth. The machines are older and outdated and not all of their functions work. Once you know their “quirks” well enough you can find a machine that usually meets most of your needs. It’s usually pretty quiet, especially in the early morning, so that’s nice if you prefer to work out alone. The tanning bed is also older and hasn’t had new bulbs in well over a year and often it doesn’t shut off at the time it’s supposed to—there is a sign detailing this, but it is still an extra “quirk” to remember to set an alarm for. They only offer one group fitness class and it’s for seniors. They’ve offered others in the past but have discontinued offering them since COVID. They have not restarted some of their other classes, like yoga, despite their other locations now offering a larger selection of group classes. The gym recently-ish seemed to obtain new management and while I think they mean well, they seem to need some additional training as their skill set seems novice. Overall, it’s okay, but could easily be replaced with an option that had better quality/variety if available.

I’ve never personally been inside Sunshine Fitness, but I just find it so enjoyable to drive by a fitness center in a barn. It’s hilarious, and I always watch for the barn when I drive through Turtle Lake.

Has amazing staff that go out of there way to make you feel at home! The other people that work out there are just as awesome. Great location, equipment and tanning room. Highly recommended !
