Easy hike, although it’s all uphill on the way there. Wind Caves we’re pretty cool

The Wind Caves Trail in Anza Borrego State Park are a great site to see and are only a short half mile hike from the wash below. The wind caves also offer a great view of the wash below and the surrounding hills and mountains.

Getting there involves miles of washboard roads, and more than a few places where 4x4 and high clearance are probably necessary. But, definitely worth it.

Amazing views and easy trails even of you have a 2wd truck or small SUV.

I have a 2 wheel drive half-ton truck. Do you think that it will have any issues getting to the trail head?

To get to the Wind Caves, none. Careful trekking after the rain, especially if you plan on going further.

Truck, SUV or AWD vehicle recommend. Something with a little bit of clearance.
