This isn't a difficult hike, but so worth the trip. It was about 2.25 miles to the waterfall. A total of 4.5 miles round trip. I had trekking poles, however I didn't really need them. There's a steady incline as you go along the trail and there are quite a few shady areas. We began at 7 am due to the heat, but there was a very nice breeze along the way. Once you arrive to the waterfall you will need to climb down a steep set of rocks; however someone has kindly attached a rope to assist on the way down and when you climb back up. Great hike for all levels. Enjoy!

Most amazing and stunning waterfall in Los Angeles. I did not expect it to be that good. It was 2 miles of mostly uphill hike. But at then end , it all worth it. .

Fun creek crossings. Once you can see the waterfall closer up, start looking for the trail goin down. Careful!! It's a steep last bit, make sure to use the ropes to help guide you down then enjoy the beautiful waterfall!!

The trail is open and water is flowing in the waterfall now. Hiked up there yesterday
Yes It's open to the public and you don't need a pass
Yes, it's open to the public everyday
I believe its best to go after a couple of rainy days
The trail is open today.
Yes, you just follow the trail. You can actually spot it from far away it's gorgeous. There is a part at the end where you need to grab on to a rope but not extremely difficult.
You will have to hike the whole trail. Once you see the water fall. There is a secret right turn that you will have to make and get ready to rope down to the waterfall. Most likely you will see everyone making that secret right to the waterfall. There is a long rope that is tied to the rocks to lead you to the fall. Good luck and enoy
If your 4-year-old kid likes to walk, probably yes, there is a part uphill that is a bit long for him, but motivated he can get there, do not forget the mask since you may find many people on the way, you can go to the top of the waterfall which is very beautiful, and you can go into the water since it is not so deep, the bottom you enter with a rappel that I think is difficult for children
Yes
Yes, I was there just a week ago.
If there is water, it is far away, but it is worth the walk
Yes there is. I went about 2 weeks ago and was nice..
GPS works but not the network. I dont know how uber works but go with friends. Much better that way.
Yes, there is a hiking trail. Round trip to the falls is approx 4.5 miles.
about 2.5 miles I think. I went about 2 weeks ago and it was completely dry. But if you continue on the trail instead of walking down to the "waterfall" you won't be disappointed, its beautiful!
4 to 5 hours round trip from road including lunch and sightseeing. It is a Really HOT hike, make sure you have enough water. and bugs are pretty bad in summer also SNAKE season is in full force, you do not want to veer off trail. Last spring someone was bit by rattlesnake. Also, water is drying up quick, probably by dry VERY SOON.
About 3 miles one way. And there is a section you repel down a rope in order to wade in the water. Go early, the last half mile there is no shade.
You can always park on the side of the road or if the access gate is open you can drive up the dirt road and park at the trail entrance
There is a $5 fee to park in the Park. You can park outside and walk in.
There's street parking right at the trailhead
