Instantly you are transported to a divinely serene retreat of religion, regardless of belief. The meditation hall with its unique design is a perfect place to achieve peace of mind. There never a push of any product or dogma. It’s a place to be in harmony with the surrounding nature to enjoy tranquility. You may choose to learn of the founder Swami Vivekanand. Very interesting collection of his discourses.

A hidden gem in OC to find peace. It’s located in the mountain overlooking the sea, stunning yet suitable for a spiritual walk.

The monastery and grounds are a rare treasure just minutes away from the hustle-bustle of suburban life. Moments I have spent here are always cleansing, enlightening, enriching, and full of beauty. The monks are some of the most wonderful people you will every meet. A unique library contains hundreds of rare and out of print spiritual and intellectual works by the great minds of the world. There is a lovely koi pond and profoundly beautiful old growth forest to enjoy. What I love most is the silence and tranquility that you feel instantly, as soon as you get out of your car. Expect to be greeted by 2 awesome dogs.

One of my favorite place to visit in Southern California few times a year. Very peaceful monastery located on the hills surrounded with many trees and plants. You may enjoy walking along the path with symbols of World religions, and find a place where you heart feels home... Small temple is great especially if you looking for inner peace... I am also like the gift shop with many unique merchandise, and especially I am recommending local honey.

Google it using Google Maps. You'll probably need a TAP card if you want to make use of a BUS pass in LA (good if you take more than one bus in LA). I think you can get a TAP card in Hawaiian Gardens. Or you can use Maps' Uber/Lyft suggestions. If you use public transportation, make sure you can get home...if the service runs late, and no one can give you a ride back to OC, it might be cheaper to Uber back rather than getting a room.
